RTVE wins Iris Award for Olympic coverage

Spanish television network RTVE won a prestigious Iris Award from Spain’s Academy of the Science and Art of Television (Academia de las Ciencias y las Artes de Television de España).

The award for ‘Best Production of the Year’ honors the channel’s multi-screen coverage of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. RTVE’s Iris Award adds to the growing list of honors won by deltatre clients for work associated with London 2012 Games, including a Webby Award given to LOCOG and a BAFTA Award presented to Channel 4.

With more than 2,200 hours of comprehensive and continuous sports coverage generating a total of 11 million users across web, mobile phone, tablet computers, games consoles and smart TVs, the Television Academy acknowledged RTVE’ multi-platform work as one of the best projects in the history of Spanish television.
