deltatre 2015 Charity Football Tournament

deltatre held its 5th Annual Sports Industry Charity Football Tournament this week in aid of the UK based charity Weir Archer Academy, raising nearly £1500… and more than a few heart rates!

deltatre was delighted to have six times Paralympian Champion David Weir with his long term coach Jenny Archer – and other Weir Archer athletes – join us on the night.

The 5-a-side tournament, supported by many of deltatre’s clients and partners, saw teams turn out from The Premier League, Premier League Productions, Sky Sports, European Tour, The RFU, Sunset & Vine, IMG and Sport Business this year.

Premier League Productions finished in bronze spot; Sunset+Vine took the silver, with IMG bringing home the trophy.

After the event we heard from David Weir speaking passionately about the reasons they launched Academy back in 2013 – to increase participation in disability sport and nurture the next generation of Paralympians through investing in training, equipment and coaching – and about his Paralympic success.

Chris Catling, Head of deltatre UK said: “This is just a great night. We are so grateful to our clients and partners for supporting us, and most importantly the Weir Archer Academy. What a great cause and one we are delighted to be able to make a contribution to. We wish David well for Rio 2016 and will be supporting him, and the other Paralympic athletes, all the way!”
