The international pitch competition, which was designed by sports digital media broadcasting company deltatre in 2014 – and jointly hosted with major sport media industry convention SPORTEL Monaco once a year – aims to bring forward global start-ups that can make significant breakthrough in the industry.
Now in its second edition, the SPORTEL StartUp Competition will reward new entrepreneurs who are disrupting the way people watch and operate sports.
“The professional sport marketing and media business environment is based on consolidated models and players, including Sport Federations and Leagues, Broadcasters, Marketing Agencies, Brands and Service Companies” – says Carlo De Marchis, Chief Product & Marketing Officer at deltatre – “Innovation often comes from thinking outside the box and this initiative can bring great inspiration to the sports industry.”
Following a number of nominations, 4 start-ups have been shortlisted as potential winners of the 2015 edition:
Judging takes place on October 14th and the winning start-up – which will be announced that day at SPORTEL Monaco – will gain the opportunity to network with elite industry players to look after number one.
“It’s the way to go” – explains maiden edition winner and GoalShouter Co-Founder Daniele Galiffa – “In two days your start-up has access to ‘the right people’ of different companies in the same sector. With an industry-innovative app or solution, you’re sure to attract some quality investors.”
