The world’s top athletes have done all they can; having trained, practiced and prepared, they are now ready to take centre stage at the Rio 2016 Olympics. Athletes from more than 200 nations will compete in 42 different sports, across 32 venues in Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Manaus, Salvador and Sao Paulo.
With such powerful material to produce sport storytelling, also global broadcasters need to be prepared. It is imperative that they are equipped to capture every moment of sporting glory, triumph and defeat; and relay this to their eagerly awaiting audience. Fans will consume the Olympic Games around the clock across digital, broadcast and social channels, hungry to know how their teams and heroes are doing.
deltatre has the privilege of supporting some of the leading rights-holders in delivering the Games across North America, South America, Europe and Asia, including the host country broadcaster Globo. Audiences want access to coverage anytime, anywhere and on any device, and deltatre understands the importance of helping broadcasters achieve this.
Using a range of solutions, deltatre will provide results services, websites, mobile apps, broadcast graphics and live storytelling tools. We will have more than 60 staff working on the Olympic Games in Rio, and in our offices in Italy and in the UK.
In addition, Diva Everywhere, an adapted version of deltatre’s video player will be used by a number of broadcasters to enrich their video content. It can now be easily integrated into any existing digital platform or OTT solution across multiple disciplines, synchronising real-time data with video.
Just like the athletes who have converged on Brazil this week, deltatre staff have put many months of hard work into preparing for the Olympic Games – and just like the athletes, we can not wait for Rio 2016 to begin.
