DiscountIF have been announced winners of the first edition of the 2016 Leaders Sports Tech Startup Competition yesterday at Stamford Bridge. As a reward, the London-based sport startup company specialising in fan engagement will receive business support and advice from the executives at Chelsea FC, Sky Sports and deltatre.
The international pitch competition, which took place during the Leaders Sports Business Summit this week, provides a unique opportunity for global startup companies with fresh sport business ideas to benefit from the help and insights of key players and decision makers from the top pro technology and sport sectors.
Partnering up with Chelsea FC and Sky Sports, Leaders also secured deltatre’s Chief Product & Marketing Officer Carlo De Marchis to chair the live contest. Among the participants were forefront startups GameOn (who reached the finals with DiscountIF), 9inesports, Stage TEN, Laduma and Stadeom. Each company pitched their solution onstage to an extraordinary audience of 400 industry experts and a selected jury looking out for number one.
