The Grimaldi Forum has still to close its doors saying goodbye to another SPORTELMonaco edition, but it’s been so intense to us that we already want to share with you the topics and events that struck us the most.
Solive winning the StartUp Competition
Social media took centre stage in the Conference Room of the Grimaldi Forum, during the third edition of the SPORTEL StartUp Competition.
Of the 4 shortlisted startups, Solive and Tellyo had been selected for a final clash on stage. Both companies offer live content publishing solutions, ideal for sporting events coverage, but in a complementary way: so much so that the judges got to propose a merger between the two.
Virtual and Augmented Reality getting real
VR and AR solutions everywhere in the Grimaldi Forum.
We’ve seen one of the StartUp competition finalists, Laduma, pitching on stage their VR solution. We showcased the result of our ongoing tests in the most important European football events with live demos of VR and Microsoft Hololens AR at our booth and demo lab. And our Chief Product and Marketing Officer, Carlo De Marchis, took part in the SPORTEL Tech panel, one of the most interesting moments of discussion on the topic.
The new SPORTEL rocks
SPORTELMonaco is without doubt our favourite sport business event, as Carlo De Marchis said in his interview. The ability to showcase innovation for companies like deltatre was much improved this year with the new format developed on two floors.
The possibility of having a corporate booth for meetings and a separate demo lab to present our offering proved to be a game-changer in the approach to the conference: you have a place to talk business, celebrate a birthday, have a drink and even lose a chocolate contest; and another place to run complex demos like immersive Augmented Reality with Microsoft Hololens or Virtual Reality solutions. Brilliant.
