Ref. SwDevSp - Software Development Specialist

Projects: All of the company’s software development projects.

Profile: We are looking for a software factory professional and software developer with good experience in Software Configuration Management (SCM), Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Experience in these areas is essential as the successful candidate will be required to define, implement and maintain the SCM, ALM and SLDC policies for the entire company.

Candidates should have excellent communication skills and posses the confidence, conviction and persuasion necessary to help the company to adapt its software production process and keep those processes up-to-date, lean, agile and profitable. Candidates should be prepared to commit themselves to a long term strategic process that is expected to last several years.

Candidates should be highly knowledgeable in state-of-the-art methodologies used in the software development industry and be well aware of the need for efficiency, usefulness and return on investment (ROI) of the methodologies and tools that already in use and those that might be adopted in the future. Candidates will be required to work with the software architects and the management team to define the long-term strategy of the company's software factory.

Candidates will be required to help with the selection, acquisition, documentation, training, and provision of support for all of the company’s software development tools.

Required Skills:

• Good experience with configuration management, requirements management, test management - all aspects of application lifecycle management
• Experience in software development is key - need to understand the problems/challenges associated with building and deploying software
• Good communication, presentation, team and time management skills
• Experience with the entire Microsoft Team System solution and tools
• Good comprehension of English (fluent written and spoken English is preferred but not essential)
• Experience with other software development tools and methodologies would be an advantage
• Experience with Microsoft Project Server 2007 (Enterprise Project Management) in configuration, administration, deployment is highly preferable

We will also consider applications from less senior candidates, provided that they can demonstrate the willingness and commitment to learn and increase their knowledge in the areas identified above. Less senior candidates should be prepared to work under the guidance and mentoring of a senior consultant until they have a reached an appropriate level of seniority.

Development Environment: Microsoft based.

Location: Turin HQ.

Contract Type: full-time, to be defined.
