Ref. SysSupp - Systems Support

Description:
deltatre media are currently looking to recruit a first class systems support individual on a full time basis whose primary role will be to provide first line hardware/software support for up to 40 employees (both PC and mac) on daily tasks such as office/exchange but also with on our technical projects such as results systems and graphics operations.


This is a technically demanding role and requires the individual to be a strong team player and the ability to multi task. He/ She must demonstrate a blend of technical skills and responsibility in order to perform their job well. The successful applicant will be based in our London office, reporting to the Systems and System Applications Manager.

Responsibilities:
Work with The Sys and Sysapps Manager on network systems design, deployment, configuration, upgrades and monitoring of various technologies:

  • IIS / SQL / File servers / Backups
  • Cisco Switches / firewalls
  • Mixed workstation/laptop environment of windows XP / 7 / OSX
  • Microsoft Exchange
  • Hyper-V / DNS / DHCP
  • Ensuring the smooth running of all ICT systems, including anti-virus software, print services and email provision; Implement local/group policies and procedures related to network hardware and software acquisition, installation, use, support, security and backup
  • Maintain mission critical servers & core network systems infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware related problems
  • Scheduling upgrade and backups of hardware and software systems

Requirements:

  • MCSE or MCP qualified
  • CCNA –Essential
  • CCNP (Desirable)
  • Preferably degree educated
  • Any other technical qualifications useful
  • Strong knowledge of computer and network security
  • Comp TIA A+
  • MCITP (Enterprise or Server Administrator – Server 2008), (Enterprise Messaging Administrator 2010), (Database Administrator 2008 / MCTS: SQL server 2005.
  • Server Virtualisation
  • Cisco & TCP IP

  • Good communication skills for providing user support
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and user support
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and highly pressured environment
  • Willingness to work late shifts if required
  • Knowledge of best practice for IT security
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, SQL and Active directory.
