Commercial Account Manager

Commercial Account Manager responsibilities include developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and preparing sales reports. This role will have the opportunity to own a sales process, working across various teams, including business, technology, legal and focus on transforming a lead into a concrete opportunity.  This will involve investigating the industry (including daily news and future trends), becoming an expert on Deltatre services, and leveraging Deltatre’s vast team to creatively produce new opportunities, new proposals, financial templates, and presentations. 

The ideal candidate will also become a strategic business development-minded executive, which will include attending industry events, growing professional network, creating partner presentations, engaging with clients on a frequent basis, generating new business opportunities. This will play a critical role in the Commercial Team across the Americas, as well as liaise with cross-functional internal teams to improve our entire customer experience. This position may require occasional travel. This role will also become familiar with account management software (CRM and partner management tools), have strong communication skills (verbal and written), and understand consumer behavior.  Having a passion for the convergence of sports, digital, and technology is critical.  Being a self-starter, quick-learner, team player, and ambitious individual are the key assets that will drive success in this role.

This opportunity can be in LA or NYC. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for key customer account management matters;
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors;
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships;
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement;
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives;
  • Work with the product teams to understand the various product developments and product roadmaps to match those to strategic client requirements;
  • Create proposals and support senior sales staff where required;
  • Work with clients and legal departments to negotiate agreements and maintain financial spreadsheets;
  • Complete financial modelling for new prospective clients and existing partners;
  • Manage contractual commitments and payment schedule of running projects;
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within Americas;
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations, as needed;
  • Become an expert on the industry and space through reading daily news, attending conferences, networking, and other areas as appropriate.
  • Clearly communicate the progress of weekly/monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly results, annual forecasts).

WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager or relevant role;
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level;
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail;
  • Ability to complete financial modelling and manage budgets;
  • Experience in creating presentations using Keynote and Powerpoint software at a high level;
  • Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office particularly MS Excel, Worksheets and similar quantitative software;
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs;
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities;
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field.
