Cyber Security Director

The Cyber Security Director will be responsible for all assurance activities related to the availability, integrity and confidentiality of all business information in compliance with the organisation's information security policies.

As a leader who enjoys solving complex issues and collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders (Legal Department, Global Technology, Platforms, and the business units), this position is accountable for driving the successful implementation of a global cyber security programme, encompassing a range of responsibilities including operations, offensive security, consultancy, architecture and compliance.

Providing technical advice and expertise to IT, business stakeholders and leaders, the Cyber Security Director will ensure security and governance is considered at every stage, industry good practice is observed, and that technologies are adequately and securely implemented and monitored , supporting the needs of the business.

A key element of the role is working with the executive management team to determine acceptable levels of risk for the organisation. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining a corporate-wide information security management program to ensure that information assets are adequately protected.

The role reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Driving the development, implementation, communication, maintenance and governance of the Cyber Security Strategy, technical architecture and roadmaps in collaboration with the CTO.
  • Design, develop, implement and monitor a best in class cyber security strategy that secures our operating business globally across the threat spectrum.
  • Become the trusted source of strategic Cyber Security expertise and pro-actively provide security leadership and guidance to business divisions, projects and 3rd parties, including regular monitoring, reporting and escalation of security events and potential risks.
  • Work closely with the executive management team, business units and Global Technology and Service Operations to ensure our software and services eco-system is protected against the latest threats, meeting best practice and emerging standards in these domains.
  • Develop and manage a world-class Cyber Security function in collaboration with outsourced 3rd parties to mitigate information and technology risks for Deltatre and our customers.
  • Develop, manage and maintain an effective Cyber Security Governance Framework.

Requirements

  • Security Architecture (Host, Application, Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, Database, software engineering, web & digital media)
  • IT Security Controls (Identity Management, IPS/IDS, Malware, User Behaviour Analytics, Data Loss Prevention, DDoS, Cloud Security techniques, etc.).
  • Ability to evaluate and articulate risks, , raise awareness and then provide and implement solutions
  • Practical knowledge of industry standard frameworks (ISO 2700x, NIST, ITIL, etc.), best practices (OWASP, CSA, etc.), and regulations (PCI, GDPR, etc.).
  • Ability to translate complex technical information across all levels of the organisation as required
  • Innovative thinking and leadership skills with an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams
  • Commercial mindset and demonstrable experience of developing strong partnerships across senior management teams within complex businesses, with the strength of character and conviction to make tough decisions when required
