      The daughter of two mathematics professors, Chiara spent her childhood exploring the world as her parents developed theorems. An Italian, she lived in India, Japan, Thailand, Canada, and across Europe. 

      At first, she followed her parents’ path by taking on an economics degree despite her natural interest in psychology. But, as she progressed, a different way was calling. “Since I was young,” she says, “I loved everything related to communication and people – maybe because of the wide experience I had with different cultures and living in different places.” 

      And so, she joined Accenture as a consultant for 12 years, with HR topics a key part of her remit. Next, she joined Fiat, then Fiat Chrysler, as HR Business Partner and as Global Head of Recruitment. 

      Joining Deltatre in 2017, unsurprisingly it was the people themselves that were the real pull for Chiara. “I’m not a tech person, but I like the mindset of tech people,” she says. “What they do is often really complex and I enjoy complexity. I’m curious so I always want to learn.” Colleagues’ collaboration and passion also shone through from day one. 

      Today, she leads the HR team as well as all people topics for the 1,000 employees across the company – it’s a truly global role, with HR heads based in each of the company’s 19 offices. She manages and supports the company’s people, leads global talent acquisition, and ensures all internal HR infrastructure, processes, and tools work efficiently. Organisational design, rewards and compensation, internal career moves, and international mobility are all within her remit. 

      She is also heavily involved in wider business decision-making together with the CEO and other C-level. “I need variety,” she says. “I’m not the kind of person that enjoys routine. When I face unknown situations, it gives me a lot of energy to find a solution.” 

      But for Chiara, what matters above all else is making a tangible impact on people’s lives. “I’m really proud when people come to me and say that I added value, and when I see that my work makes a difference to people’s professional lives and the company as a whole,” she says.  

      Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and backpacking.
