The work runs on a shift basis, including evenings and weekends, dictated by the schedule of global live sport.

The live support will be operated onsite (in the client's operations center) in Toronto.

Position

Live operations at Deltatre run continuously, supporting live sports and entertainment broadcasts for clients around the world. The Live Operations team is the operational layer that makes each event reach viewers without issues.

As Live Operator, you will perform video streaming operations during live events in a live production environment. You report into the Event Manager and work alongside Live Operations Supervisors during your shifts to keep broadcasts running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Perform video streaming operations during live events
• Hold quality control over operational output during your shift
• Manage two-way communication with the client during live operations
• Handle operational escalations to internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent output quality
• Follow defined operational and process documentation accurately, raising issues with the Supervisor or Event Manager when something does not match what is on the page

You can stay focused during live broadcasts where the timing is fixed and the audience is watching. You follow defined protocols, know when to escalate, and learn the tools as you go. You treat the small details — the right action at the right moment — as part of the work, not an afterthought.

Required

• Demonstrated comfort with computer-based work
• Hands-on experience with live online video streaming
• Fluent written and spoken English — able to explain issues credibly to Level II and III support teams
• Comfortable making decisions during live operations with the guidance available
• Comfortable working through shifts that include evenings, weekends, late nights, and overnight at short notice
• Able to follow defined operational and process documentation accurately
• Practical knowledge of the technologies used in live streaming operations

Valued

• Hands-on experience with AWS Elemental Encoders
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure
• Previous experience in an operational role with computers
• Demonstrated familiarity with the protocols and systems used in this role, however acquired (degree-educated background welcome but not required)
• Genuine interest in sport — useful for context on the events being supported

• 1-hour Technical round of Interview:we will deep dive on your experience and collect examples of the responsibilities you’ve been dealing with in your past experience. It will be a chance do deep dive on the role and for you to ask questions.
• 1-hour Competency Based Interview: we are going to ask you some situational questions around how you deal with real-life scenarios at work. Easier doing it, more than explaining it!
