What were Atalanta's objectives?
New channels for monetization
Whether through new advertising inventory or extended value to sponsors and partners, Atalanta’s new digital presence allows the team to monetize their digital assets in new and effective ways.
A continuous experience across platforms
All marketing touchpoints needed to be easily accessible by users within a unified, frictionless experience. Moving between digital points of access, they wanted to serve fans with tailored content on natively built platforms.
Elevate the experience of fans
Atalanta's new digital ecosystem offers fans the latest news, match updates, team and player stats, ticketing, and exclusive content in English and Italian, keeping supporters connected.
Underpin international growth ambitions
Atalanta’s success on the pitch has seen their popularity grow internationally. The club needed owned and operated platforms to mirror this growth.
Atalanta’s journey with Deltatre
At the start of 2024, the club were looking to mirror their on-pitch success with an upgrade to their digital platforms. As a result, they turned to Deltatre to help launch a website and mobile app that would help them balancing ambitious targets of international growth, and a new membership programme.
The initial project spanned six months, a crucial period that allowed Atalanta to be live for the start of the 2024/2025 domestic season. This timeline was vital, as it covered a range of complex tasks that needed to be addressed. One of the main challenges involved integrating sports data, from basic fixtures and results to more sophisticated data visualizations, a common need for any sports club aiming to enhance its digital output.
Another priority was streamlining the ticketing process. Deltatre worked with VivaTicket to create an integration that simplifies the purchase journey, ensuring a seamless transition from Atalanta's website to the ticketing platform.
