Cyber Security Engineer

Position
You will support and strengthen the Security team by contributing to the implementation, definition and enforcement of established security practices, policies and operational controls. You will quickly become familiar with our security framework and actively participate in daily security activities as part of the team committed to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. We are seeking a candidate who is analytical, curious and highly motivated by security challenges.
Responsibilities
- Lead internal security incident management and coordinate SOC activities, including detection, investigation, containment, resolution and reporting, to strengthen overall security posture
- Define, enforce and optimise corporate security policies, controls and monitoring activities to mitigate risk and protect systems and data. 
- Perform security monitoring and analysis to identify threats, conduct vulnerability and risk assessments, and coordinate remediation with technical teams
- Configure and maintain essential security technologies and solutions, and develop automation, including scripting and AI-driven workflows, to streamline security processes
- Collaborate with IT, engineering, compliance and operational teams to integrate secure practices, and communicate security insights and guidance across the organisation
Requirements
- Knowledge of Information Security Standards and incident response
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM and network protocols
- Knowledge of security operations, network monitoring, threat analysis
- Knowledge of vulnerability scans and vulnerability management processes
- Experience with scripting languages to build automation
- Basic understanding of Cloud Security platform offerings (Azure | AWS preferred)
- Fluent verbal and written English
