New NHL.com and websites for all 32 member Clubs have been launched for the 2023-24 season
The National Hockey League (NHL) has appointed Deltatre, a global leader in digital, streaming and data technology for sport and media, to power the League’s NHL.com website ecosystem with its scalable publishing platform, FORGE.
For the start of the 2023-24 NHL regular season, Deltatre overhauled NHL.com with a complete technical re-architecture and visual redesign, which includes websites for all 32 NHL member Clubs. Deltatre’s FORGE platform is used by a total of 370 website editors and contributors across the NHL and supports eight languages offering unprecedented access to player and team news and information. Underpinned by FORGE, Deltatre’s publishing platform allows the NHL to manage its entire digital ecosystem from one place, giving editors the ability to write and publish stories from anywhere for all devices.
Andrea Marini, Chief Executive Officer at Deltatre, said:
“We’re happy to add NHL as the fourth major sports league in North America to trust Deltatre with its digital platforms, alongside the NFL, MLB and MLS. Partnering with the NHL to help overhaul its digital experience is another huge landmark in our North American journey, and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve created together both for the League and its teams.
“Deltatre’s partnership with NHL further proves that we are the go-to software provider for those with complex digital ecosystems needing operational efficiency and complete control and consistency across all digital assets.”
“We’re excited for users to enjoy NHL.com’s cleaner visual design and mobile-first platform, made possible through our collaboration with Deltatre,” said Nili Doft, NHL Senior Vice President, Digital Media. “Our fans are very tech savvy, and it’s important that we deliver a high-quality experience across our digital platforms.”
