Taking us behind-the-tech today is... Juliette Bietry
Juliette is a Strategic Account Management Director - Sport. Her role is centred around keeping Deltatre customers happy.
“In order to be successful in my work, I like to take a similar approach as I do in my private life. Being empathetic, and being a great listener to best understand the goals and needs of others. Being proactive, and a problem solver to provide them with solutions. And most importantly, being authentic and trustworthy, to build strong relationships.”
When did you join Deltatre, and which hub are you based in?
"I joined Deltatre in October 2016. I am based in the Paris hub, but I enjoy the flexibility of working from home."
What does a typical day look like in this role?
"I always start the day by reading my emails and creating my to-do list. It is crucial to be reliable and to meet your deadlines in order to preserve your relationships with your customers.
I then have a look at the meetings planned for the day and write down my objectives for each of them. With customers and when possible, I favour calls over emails as it helps me better understand their needs and allows me to ask questions. 1:1 meetings allows them to share their thoughts more regularly and ensures I have the right perception of their experience and satisfaction at all times.
It also helps me anticipate their requests and suggestions/ideas. This all leads to submitting formal proposals to Deltatre customers and contributes to our business.
I also like to keep track of our deliveries, supporting and protecting our delivery team when needed. Finally, what is not documented does not exist, therefore, as an account manager I also keep our reporting tools updated to support the top management with reliable data to build their vision and take strategic decisions."
Project spotlight...
World Athletics is one of Deltatre’s longest-standing customers. I am very proud of their continued trust to help them take the World Championships to the next level. Our reliable data services and our continually evolving graphics services are deployed on all World Athletics Series events. It is an exciting challenge to provide audiences with relevant stories based on enhanced data and visualized in a way which is accessible to a wide audience.
On top of the quality of the athletes competing and their impressive performances, what I love about this sport is how World Athletics celebrates diversity and inclusion.
Forward thinking
Event organizers have a critical role to play in creating a sustainable culture around sporting competitions. Our responsibility as Deltatre, is to support them in this journey. Remote graphics production allows Deltatre to reduce our travel footprint on-site, therefore reducing our carbon emissions. Deltatre has been proactively offering to operate remotely from our Turin Operations Center to most of our customers, encouraging them to adopt a more sustainable approach.
What gets you most excited about Deltatre’s future?
Deltatre has built strong and long relationships with our customers. As exciting as an ever-evolving industry can be, it is sometimes hard to predict the next big thing. By working with long contract terms, we collectively have time to assess, define and deploy numerous innovations hand-in hand with our customers. It is a real chance to have the possibility to make a difference.
Highlights
World Athletics is my favourite project, not only because I’m an Athletics fan, but also because World Athletics are in constant evolution. They make us feel part of their team and their open minds allow us to proactively suggest ideas. We feel that we are one big team.
I feel blessed as I work in a small, collaborative and hard-working team. We work closely with our Sportec Soltuions AG colleagues on Data Collection and Officiating services. I feel that our differences make us stronger and very agile. We strive for excellence in everything we undertake. We are not always successful, but we always have the satisfaction to have done our best together as a team.
