Deployment of the new LNP PASS marks the beginning of a five-year partnership between Deltatre and LNP aimed at creating a unique digital destination for Italian basketball enthusiasts.

Originally launched in 2015 as Italy’s first dedicated basketball streaming platform, LNP PASS has been redesigned to deliver a seamless live and on-demand experience across all devices. This transformation reflects LNP's ambition to enhance its visibility and market positioning both nationally and internationally.

The collaboration introduces advanced video streaming technology tailored for basketball content delivery, alongside multi-device accessibility spanning web, iOS, Android, Apple TV, Android TV, and Samsung TV apps. The platform leverages deep audience insights and first-party data capabilities to offer personalized experiences, whilst also supporting operational excellence from technology development through to content strategy and commercialization.

The new LNP PASS is powered by Deltatre’s D3 VOLT, which combines cutting-edge OTT products and solutions and proven scalability. D3 VOLT enables flexible configuration options that meet the unique needs of sports organizations like LNP while ensuring high-quality streaming performance across all devices. Deltatre will also provide strategic consultancy to LNP, overseeing growth marketing initiatives to help the league expand their fanbase and build a long-term, sustainable commercial asset to diversify their revenue streams.

"As LNP Board, one of the main objectives we have set during our tenure is to further develop and enhance our LNP PASS offering. Now in its tenth year on the sports streaming market, LNP PASS stands as proof that we correctly anticipated the evolving dynamics of the OTT market, back in 2015,” said Francesco Maiorana, President of Lega Nazionale Pallacanestro. “In recent months we have been looking for a new partner capable of taking us to the next level in terms of quality – making the LNP PASS channel even more accessible and rich in content for basketball fans. We sought a partner with deep knowledge of the Italian national market and the global OTT and digital landscape to ensure continuous evolution in our streaming capabilities."

"We identified Deltatre as the ideal partner to actively support LNP's operations and business growth – a leading global player in the OTT sector with extensive expertise providing digital services to major international sports organizations while managing millions of users and simultaneous streams. For these reasons, we're proud that a company like Deltatre has strongly supported LNP in such an ambitious project. Their involvement will help grow and strengthen the two Leagues featured on our platform. With over 1,200 games streamed annually – an impressive figure unmatched across Europe – this partnership is poised to elevate our offering significantly.”

“We're confident that this collaboration will not only bring success but, above all, will allow fans to enjoy an increasingly high-quality and engaging basketball viewing experience.

This collaboration underscores our commitment to empowering sports organizations of all sizes with innovative digital solutions that drive meaningful connections between leagues and their audiences,“ said Andrea Marini, CEO at Deltatre. "Basketball in Italy has immense growth potential, with passionate fans eager for greater access to high-quality content. Through this partnership with LNP, we aim to enhance the digital experience for fans while contributing to the broader development of Italian basketball.”

“By leveraging our D3 VOLT platform for LNP PASS, we’re delivering cutting-edge technology and personalized streaming services that elevate the sport’s profile, attract new audiences, and strengthen its position within Italy’s competitive sports landscape."
