Something people don’t know about me…

Well, I’m Swiss – and obviously a huge Roger Federer fan. Hopp Schwiiz!

I chose this career path because…

I’m interested in sports and sports events. Early in my career, I started with some Olympics partnership portfolio jobs. I’ve worked in football for most of my career since then, but also did a ‘detour’ within the board sports industry for a while. I’ve loved all the jobs.

I describe my job as…

Liaising with sport rights owners and rights holders, understanding their needs and constantly seeking how to get there. I’m the point of contact between them and our amazing technical team here at Deltatre.

My friends and family describe my job as…

“Sport tech” and that’s usually as far as it goes!

I start the day by…

Fixing breakfast for my kids. My routine hasn’t changed much, even over the last few months as I would often work from home, allowing me to play an even bigger role in my family’s activities.

An ordinary day at work goes like this…

Well, nothing has exactly been ordinary lately, has it? I work on a variety of tasks, down from pure client admin stuff to more strategic governance matters or even entire budget profit and loss responsibilities. I’m working a little more remotely than usual at the moment. Staying connected online with our teams and clients across the world is at the heart of what we do, and account management is heavily reliant on those relationship and bonding aspects.

I know it’s been a good day when…

I get smiling faces and cheery moods all around; sharing positive energy is essential.

The best piece of advice I’ve been given is…

To be kind, considerate, empathetic and hardworking.

Outside of work I like to…

Be out there in the wild. This could be paddling by myself in the middle of Lake Geneva, running through the La Côte vineyards, hiking or freeride skiing in the mountains nearby, or just waiting out there at the line-up for that next ocean wave set... which can take a little while in Switzerland!

A song that gets me in the zone is…

“Where Is My Mind?” by the Pixies. “Jigsaw Falling Into Place” by Radiohead would do it too!

I am passionate about…

Way too many things to list and enumerate. I try hard not to get jaded by anything, and to keep that fresh and curious approach to everything.

To me, the definition of success is…

Looking back and feeling proud.

I’m excited about the future of…

The planet and have strong opinions on environmental protection. Well, I’m also wary and concerned, but I’m overall committed and optimistic in the end. The Treedom initiative, where Deltatre’s 1,000+ employees will receive a cacao tree on their birthday to help grow The Deltatrees forest in Cameroon, is a good corporate initiative.
