  • [6:24] Klaus Bürg on the role of AWS in sport: "We are a customer-obsessed company, and when we analyzed the way people consume sports, we found that the expectations are changing, with today's generations looking at several streams at the same time. The DFL tracks 3.6 million data points in every single match, we work to generate deeper insights on what happens on the field. We build the algorithms by using machine learning and artificial intelligence to actually generate insights that come directly from these data points."
  • [15:44] Andreas Heyden on Bundesliga Match Facts: "The magic of new Bundesliga Match Facts is encompassed in three components. There are scientific aspects on what the insight can bring. Secondly, is it of value to the fan? Thirdly, it needs to be technically feasible in time and in terms of quality. When these three elements converge, we can it the magic spot..."
  • [20:45] Christian Holzer on the technology behind Bundesliga Match Facts: "...we mainly use tracking data from positional data for the players and ball, but also for the opponents and goalkeepers. We also analyze angles and distances, for instance from the goal, building a real three-dimensional view, in real-time."
