Deltatre, Sportec Solutions and Vieww will be in Dusseldorf on May 11-12 to showcase their combined value proposition in the officiating and data collection fields

Two years in the making

Back in 2020, we were working hard to deliver a great show at SportsInnovation – before Covid arrived putting the event on hold.

But travel is picking back up again and we’re excited to start bringing our technology to the most exciting trade shows and business events. SportsInnovation is definitely up there amongst our favorites and we’re gearing up to help make it stand out as a Diamond Plus sponsor.

Our industry has evolved dramatically in the past two years – SportsInnovation 2022 will be the perfect place to experience new technologies in person and meet the movers and shakers of the sports business world.

Meet our extended family

Sports Innovation 2022 will also be the first opportunity for us to showcase our expanded value proposition.

Sportec Solutions, a joint venture between Deltatre and DFL Group, recently acquired officiating systems experts Vieww, in a move that positions our group in the best place to serve leagues and federations with best-in-class officiating and data services.

Headquartered in Munich, Sportec Solutions develops next-gen solutions in the fields of match data and sports technology. It delivers products and solutions that enable international sports properties to truly maximize the potential of their owned data ecosystems.

Vieww is a FIFA-inspected provider of Goal Line technology and Video Assistant Referee and supplies next generation officiating systems for football and other major sport federations. It utilizes advanced smart camera technology, continuously synchronized to a microsecond. In addition to fully automatic goal detection, all cameras provide 200 HD images per second for analysis and verification of critical goal area scenes.

Layered on top of this is Deltatre’s market-leading fan engagement and technological expertise. The three brands work in partnership to expand its products with a focus on developing innovative, engaging solutions around officiating, and future-proofing leagues’ owned data and video ecosystems. At our SportsInnovation 2022 Hub, we will explore some of these fan engagement and monetization opportunities.

We have A LOT to showcase

The Deltatre and Sportec Solutions Hub, located immediately outside the event entrance, will offer a live, exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at how our cutting-edge Vieww video officiating and goal line technology operations work in practice, and how Sportec Solutions and Deltatre collaborate to maximize fan-engagement opportunities available via this ecosystem.

Here you will find:

  • A Sportec Solutions container, housing the Vieww VAR and Goal Line Technology operations centers. You will be able to see how a Bundesliga VAR process works, and how the operators ensure that decisions are reached and communicated in a timely, rigorous manner.
  • A Deltatre tent, where we will show how the VAR, GLT and data collection infrastructure can be used to enhance communication with fans in the stadium, at home watching on TV, or following games via digital and social channels. We will also provide refreshments here.
  • A brand new Sportec Solutions electric van, which will be used throughout the next Bundesliga season to house the overview and maintenance of the Vieww GLT System, VAR Servers and camera feeds, and produce GLT replays.

Back on-stage

Besides the incredible amount of cutting-edge technology showcased on the stands, Sports Innovation is also renowned for the great content of its panels.

Amongst these, some of our representatives will shed light on how we build officiating solutions to help leagues and federations providing an improved fan-experience.
