VISUAL STORIES is the secret behind producing high quality, snackable sport content across your digital platforms. Its latest update helps editors tell richer stories and increases monetization opportunities. Read on for the lowdown

Let your fans immerse themselves in a sea of visually compelling content that has the power to enrich stories from all manner of live events. In an age that is dominated by visual literacy, audiences – now more than ever – demand content that’s captivating, interesting, and, most importantly, quick to consume.

Our solution to power snackable, mobile-first content is VISUAL STORIES - a tool that can help your organization to truly move the needle when it comes to content production and distribution.

Its second update for 2020 introduces some important improvements to the backend and frontend architecture to help editors and content-makers create truly engaging digital moments on any sized screen.

Read on for the latest updates.

#1. Customize and manage in-story sidebar menus

One of the most exciting updates is a new feature that enables editors to create and manage customized sidebar menus. These can be visualized onto specific cards with the option to include logos, custom links and bespoke call-to-actions.

How does this work? Imagine being a soccer fan accessing the match coverage via snackable cards provided through VISUAL STORIES. Now, a handy hamburger menu now sits on the top right corner, providing the user with an array of options.

This menu is configurable from the backend and can be adapted to define the type of content available.

The improvement brings new opportunities for further monetization as the CTAs are fully customizable and allow you to drive traffic to other parts of your digital ecosystem. Think of links to e-commerce pages or opportunities for sponsorship activations around specific events or occasions.

#2. Multiple social posts as part of your stories, with the Social Widget

Now you can quickly and seamlessly include social media posts natively to the flow of content.

Six different types of posts from various social networks are now at the editors’ disposal to be easily embedded on to a visual card, including tweets and videos from YouTube. It also includes support for the popular animated GIFs embedded directly from Giphy or Gyfcat.

This is powerful - GIFs are an immediate way to not only engage with your audience, but also keep their attention. Ever thought of announcing a goal with a near-live celebratory quick video? This is the perfect answer to the demand of quick-to-consume content that’s also stimulating for users.

#3. A more flexible backend

Finally, VISUAL STORIES now boasts an improved and more flexible backend, allowing editors and content makers to easily configure the font family, size, and call-to-actions. From visual consistency across all cards in your series, to set screen positions for resizable buttons and call-to-actions, the tool is now optimized for a smoother than ever experience.

Stay tuned for more VISUAL STORIES updates later this year, as our team unveil new and exciting ways to tell stories that promise to keep your fans hooked.
